The tree was sent to France by Mr Pissard, who was a gardener working for the Shah of Iran.

The flowers are creamy white in the spring with heavy crop of small red fruit in late summer and fall.

Propagation:
Sow the seeds in the spring after 4 months of stratification at 40°F (4°C).
