The Ficus benjamina is grown frequently as a house plant, but it does very well outside in Phoenix.
It is known for easily going partly dormant and losing part of its leaves if there is a change in growing conditions or if the tree is stressed. The leaves will grow back, be patient, this is not in itself a source of concern, water normally, and fertilizer is generally not needed until the tree starts growing again.

Cultural Practices:
Does well with frequent light feedings.

Fruiting Habits:
Mature trees bear red, inedible figs.
