Pedilanthus Pedilanthus is a genus of a dozen of tropical American shrubby plants related to euphorbias. They differ mainly in their flowers of asymetrical shape and look like a bird head or a shoe. The name Pedilanthus means 'foot-shaped flower', this is also reflected in the common name of Slipper Spurge where spurge is an usual name for an euphorbia. Most species are frost sensitive, place them in a protected area of the garden (if your climate is mild). They are propagated by cuttings.
