Dichondras are occasionally used as groundcover. Although they don't tolerate heavy traffic, they can be a resource in shady areas. Weeding with chemicals might be a problem. Dichondra repens has green leaf undersides, while those of Dichondra micrantha are greyish.
Cultural Practices: Dichondras like humus rich, well cultivated soil. In Phoenix, they self-seed readily.
