Austrocylindropuntia

Austrocylindropuntia contains cacti that have been considered part of Opuntia. Eleven species are now accepted in this genus, coming from South America Andes area (Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru).

They have tuberous roots and cylindrical stems. Some species have persistent cylindrical leaves.

They are easily propagated by cuttings.
