Blooming Habits:
A typical Ilex, the Yaupon is dioecious. The male plants have numerous small greenish white flowers in clusters, while the female plants have mostly solitary flowers. They bloom in late spring (April to May). The fruit is a dark orange to red,berry-like drupe, 0.24 to 0.32 inch in diameter (0.6 to 0.8 cm), ripening in the fall (September and October)
